Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I e-mailed a question about water taste concerning a purchased
Berkefeld.
I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the fact that I was given a phone call back so quickly and
efficiently. Great customer service.
Apparently I was too impatient about cycling water through the filters to eliminate an odd taste. The water processed
is fine now.
Again, thank you for the quick and friendly response to my imagined problem.

Hi Brad,
We are enjoying our water filters, you have great service! all three of us
received the water filter units in no time at all and YOU were very helpful
advising us how to put on those gas filters on the bottom.
We like the taste of the new water, since the electricity prices are going
to go up so much, we thought we better turn off our water distillers. (that
have been our faithful companions for so many years)
Please let us know how many months we can go before we need a filter change,
are the gas filters replaceable at the same time or at different intervals?
is there any other type of filter you believe we may need?
Helene is planning on ordering from you another couple of filtration
systems, in the next couple of months. (I think they are for gifts)
Thanks so much for every thing we really appreciate, your professionalism,
and your solid business practices.
Myra Merrill
Greetings,
My name is Lynne Wilkins and I ordered 4 replacement ceramic water
filters. Very soon after that I received my order and I
could tell something was wrong because the tape that held the shipping
box had small bits of charcoal stuck to it. When I opened the box, one
of the filters was leaking the charcoal from the "nozzle" end of the
filter. I called your 1-800 number and spoke to a representative of
your company who explained how this might have happened, and he told me
he would ship me another filter, no problem. I asked if he wanted me to
send back the defective filter, and he said that it was not necessary.
I have since received the replacement filter and am writing you to let
you know that I am very satisfied with how your company handled this
situation. I have recommended the British Berkefeld products because I
am so pleased with the water purifiers, and I recommend your company
because of the professional attitude you have.
My thanks to you and to your staff for the fantastic service you gave
me,
Lynne Wilkins

Stuff has selected the most
significant new product introduced each year and produced a list of one hundred items which have become design classics. Back in 1904 as Albert Einstein was announcing his Special Theory of Relativity, British Berkefeld was introducing the world's first domestic water filter, which could provide purified drinking water direct from the main. For the first time a supply of safe drinking water was available for households on demand and British Berkefeld water filters quickly began to play an important role in the control of waterborne diseases. "Use a water-treatment device that filters e-coli, giardiasis and
cryptosporidium bacteria. My favorite: Doulton & British Berkefeld. This
gravity-driven portable stainless steel and ceramic model filters 24 gallons a
day. Filter lasts 15,000 gallons."

"British Berkefeld performs better than most of the 2,500 water filters on
the market."

"Giardia cysts were found in all of Colorado State University's 10,000
water samples from streams across America. Fecal/oral transmission of
giardia often causes diarrhea, flatulence, cramps, and other gastrointestinal
problems. Waterborne crypto sickened over 400,000 people and killed
dozens of Milwaukee residents in 1993.
Therefore, it is particularly wise to use Berkefeld filters on drinking water
downstream of a stock farm, feed lot, or dairy."
